Are you a young person based in Scotland who is interested in peacebuilding, and in how people resolve and transform conflict? Apply to join the CEASEFIRE! Project as a volunteer ‘Peace Gamer’.
The CEASEFIRE! Peace Game Prototype Project is a 6-month knowledge exchange pilot project based at the University of Glasgow. It brings together young people, artists, researchers, and game developers to co-create a video game about how to negotiate a ceasefire. The game will serve as an innovative tool in peacebuilder training exercises, helping players to engage more effectively with law and with human emotions when negotiating. We are currently selecting 12-15 young people to serve as peace gamers for this made-in-Scotland initiative. Participants will attend two 4-hour ‘design sprint’ workshops in person.
Workshop 1: 15 April 2025 (10:00 a.m. - 2:00 pm) - University of Glasgow Campus (ARC)
Workshop 2: 1 May 2025 (10:00 a.m. - 2:00 pm) - Macintosh at the Willow (central Glasgow)
Who can apply: We are interested in hearing from young people in Scotland aged 18-29 years who are curious about peacebuilding - whether at the local or international level. No prior knowledge of ceasefires or gaming is needed to participate. For more information and to express interest, please contact:
